Most often, a 404 error appears if the page that shows the search results has been deleted from Shopify. Smart Search Bar & Filters adds a new page to Online store > Pages in the admin panel of your store after you’ve installed the app.
To recreate the page again, click the Force re-indexation button on the left-hand side of the app’s control panel. After the indexation is complete, the page will be restored.

Be careful not to delete it again in the future.
